About Us
This website serves as a portal to provide access to assets (software, models, code, data, etc.) associated with various projects of the Graphics Vision and Video group at MPI For Informatics. The group’s web address is https://gvv.mpi-inf.mpg.de/, and the portal is available at https://gvv-assets.mpi-inf.mpg.de/
What personal data we collect, why we collect it, how long we store personal data collection and use?
We make the assets available only for non-commercial scientific usage. Researchers wishing to access the assets need to register on the portal and provide some basic personal information including their name, email address, information on research group and research group leader and the intended usage of the requested assets. We store this information in an internal database accessible by the web admins of the GVV group and the IT department at MPI for Informatics. This data is stored as long as the user obtains material from GVV Assets. In the process of signing up to request access to the assets, the potential user must agree to the license conditions made available on the sign-up page. Signing up does not guarantee access to the assets, and we reserve the right to decline the access request. In cases where the access request is declined, the data provided upon registration will be retained for cross-referencing against future access requests. The legal basis for processing the registration data is the consent according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a of the GDPR. In addition, Art. 6 (1) f of the GDPR (justified interests) serves as the legal basis allowing us to publicly disclose and advertise the usage. We would like to increase GVV assets‘ visibility in order to provide interested scientists access to suitable material. Moreover since GVV Assets itself is a research project, the material is made available free of charge for non-commercial research purposes.

Your data is not shared
Your data is private and can be seen only by the website administrators of the GVV group.
The data can only be accessed by the website administrators of the GVV Group and the IT department at the Max Planck Institute for Informatics. The data will not be passed to third parties.
